Master’s in Sustainability and Circular Bioenomony

In January 2025, I’ll begin something I’ve dreamed about for a long time: my pre-master program, leading to a full Master in Sustainability and Circular Bioeconomy Management at Rome Business School starting in April.

It feels surreal to write this. If you had told me a few years ago — when I was still fully immersed in the world of recruitment — that I’d one day be pursuing a graduate degree in sustainability, I probably would’ve smiled politely and changed the subject. But here we are. And honestly? I couldn’t feel more aligned with this next step.

Why I’m Doing This

My professional path has always been about people, growth, and impact. For years, I worked as a recruiter, helping people navigate their careers and find meaningful work. But the more I understood the urgency of the climate crisis and systemic inequalities, the more I felt called to go deeper. to shift my focus from careers to systems, and from growth alone to purposeful change.

Sustainability isn’t just about the environment. It’s about how we live, how we lead, and how we shape businesses, policies, and communities that support both people and the planet.

I want to be fully prepared to work in this space, not just with passion, but with academic knowledge, research skills, and the ability to support real-world transitions.

What Comes Next

The pre-master will focus on building the academic foundation I need, especially as someone coming from a different professional background. It’s a chance to strengthen my research mindset, sharpen my analytical skills, and prepare myself to thrive in the master’s phase.

Then, in April 2025, I’ll begin the full Master’s in Sustainability. I’ll be diving into systems thinking, sustainable finance, governance, innovation, and more. I’m especially excited about the mix of theory and practice, and the opportunity to work with peers who are just as passionate about creating change.

I’ll Be Sharing the Journey

As always, I’ll be documenting this path here on my blog, not as a perfect story, but as a real one. I’ll share the challenges, the small victories, the shifts in perspective, and what I’m learning along the way.

Thanks for being part of this with me. 💚
